Coffee and cake at Louis Vuitton

Students of the Fashion Design Institute visited the home of the great designer and the Louis Vuitton bag workshop

For a coffee at Louis Vuitton - who can tell you about something like that?
Students of the Fashion Design Institute can, because they were allowed to take a trip to the great designer's home. The latter lived in Asnières, a small suburb of Paris. It is only 20 minutes by Métro to the center of the world capital of fashion. Louis Vuitton lived and worked here in his Art Nouveau house, now a listed building, which alone aroused the admiration of the students who had come along. Over coffee and cake, they were told the eventful history of the Vuitton family. Times long past came alive and were within their grasp - especially when the French game of billiards was explained and demonstrated to them at Louis Vuitton's original billiard table.
But after so much privacy, the visit to the bag workshop was also interesting for the budding fashion designers from a technical point of view: Louis Vuitton's most expensive pieces are still made in this workshop today.
