During the trip to London, our students visited the fashion house Alexander McQueen. The label shocks and fascinates at the same time with its unusual and non-standard silhouettes. Behind the closed doors, the Fashion Design Institute explained the brand's insider tips to the students. They were shown how the successful brand works: from collection development and mood board creation to the finished outfit. An employee explained step by step how Alexander McQueen drapes and sews. It was an instructive experience for all the students from the Fashion Design Institute, as the fashion house stands for unusual and sophisticated draping techniques.
After learning, the fashion students were fascinated by the show collections. They were able to look at outfits up close, analyze handicrafts and get them all explained. This excursion provided a lot of motivation, inspiration and educational content.
