Dior exhibition Paris 2018

In 2018: fashion students visit the largest ever fashion exhibition in Paris

Students of the Fashion Design Institute admired the works of Christian Dior

The long queue in front of the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris promised great things: in the side wing of the Louvre, the exhibition "Christian Dior, Designer of Dreams" presented the world's largest selection of haute couture gowns, photographs and drawings by all Dior designers of the last 70 years and delighted fashion fans from all over the world. The focus was on paying tribute to the great Christian Dior himself, couturier and founder of the house. Eleven themed areas allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the world of Christian Dior, from his childhood to the founding of the fashion house and his creative work. But the international development of the label, which after Dior's death in 1957 employed world-famous successors such as Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri, was also the subject of the exhibition.

The famous accessories, hats, bags, illustrations, miniature dresses, lipsticks and perfumes formed a canon of Christian Dior's favorite colors at the grandiose exhibition. The highlight of the journey through Dior's world was "the Salon", where the magnificent soirées and the dreamlike dresses worn during them were on display, worn by celebrities or world stars such as Lady Diana or Grace Kelly. A magical visit for all participating students of the Fashion Design Institute!
