A trip to the Chanel Group in Paris was great fun for the students of the Fashion Design Institute and they learned a lot. First, a guided tour of the atelier was organized, where the fashion students learned interesting facts about the history of the Chanel Group and other luxury brands.
The origin and development of haute couture was also explained and embroidery samples were shown. These unusual haute couture techniques are normally only seen in the photos of haute couture collections, but our students were able to see them up close, touch them and have them explained to them. The beautiful and unique techniques inspired our budding designers for their own collections.
The second part of the visit was a workshop in which the students tried out different types of embroidery techniques themselves and were able to create their own patterns.
